South Australian Institute of Business and Technology is a Navitas pathway college in Adelaide that provides international students with Early Transition Programs, diploma programs and a graduate certificate linked to the University of South Australia and, from 2026, the new Adelaide University. SAIBT is located on UniSA’s City East Campus, giving students access to modern university facilities in the heart of Adelaide. It offers small classes, personalised academic support and dedicated services for international students, helping bridge the gap between school and university. Successful diploma graduates generally enter the second year of selected UniSA bachelor degrees, supported by a reported progression success rate of around 95 percent into UniSA undergraduate programs.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • SAIBT diplomas are nationally recognised and generally equivalent to the first year of related UniSA bachelor degrees, allowing many students to enter year two on completion.

  • SAIBT reports a progression success rate of about 95 percent of graduates moving into UniSA undergraduate degrees in areas such as business, information technology, engineering and health sciences.

FACILITIES

SAIBT students study on UniSA City East Campus and share access to UniSA’s facilities, including the David Murray Library, modern teaching spaces, specialist health and science laboratories, a campus gym and a range of student support and social spaces. The campus is centrally located on North Terrace in Adelaide’s CBD, close to public transport, parks, shops and cafes. Facilities also include community health clinics, computer labs, outdoor plaza areas and a variety of food outlets, reflecting a full metropolitan university campus environment.

Adelaide Student Lodge

Adelaide Student Lodge is a purpose built, fully catered student residence that SAIBT partners with, primarily for students under 18 years of age but also available for over 18s. It is located about 7 kilometres from Adelaide city centre, near public transport, shops and services, and offers a home like environment with single rooms.

Homestay

Homestay allows students to live with an Australian host family, experience local culture and practise English in daily life. Most SAIBT homestay families live within about 30 minutes of the city by public transport, and there is a minimum stay of five weeks.
