Fraser International College is a private pathway college in Burnaby, British Columbia, located in the Discovery 1 Building on Simon Fraser University’s Burnaby campus and operated by Navitas. It offers foundation and international year one transfer programs that lead directly into the second year of a Simon Fraser University bachelor degree in disciplines such as arts, business, computing, engineering, environment, health sciences and science. International students benefit from small classes, extensive academic and wellness support, and full access to many Simon Fraser University facilities and student services while studying on the main campus.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Fraser International College functions as an official pathway provider to Simon Fraser University, with university designed courses taught on the SFU Burnaby campus and curricula developed in collaboration with SFU faculties so that successful students can transfer into year two of related SFU bachelor programs. The college hosts a diverse international cohort of more than 1300 students from over 35 countries, offers multiple English entry routes, and connects students to extensive SFU academic, health, recreation and student union services, creating an integrated pre university experience.

FACILITIES

Fraser International College students study in the Discovery 1 Building on SFU’s Burnaby campus and have on site advising, wellness and prayer spaces, as well as access to a campus café and shuttle. Through SFU they can use Bennett Library, the Student Learning Commons, extensive computer and study spaces, fitness and recreation facilities, health and counselling, the Multifaith Centre and the Student Union Building. The SFU Safe App, campus shuttle and Safe Walk program provide additional safety and transport support, helping international students to navigate campus life comfortably.
